Muhamad Omar Sharif, 22, is a second year Political Science undergraduate with a minor in Theatre Studies. In his freshman year, Omar was brought into PBMUKS as the Head of Literary Arts Secretariat. Even though he was not as well-informed in matters pertaining to the Malay Language, he brought along with him years of experience in working with various Malay/Muslim organisations and put his managerial and organizational skills to good use in the secretariat. As the Vice-President and Logistics/IT Officer, Omar continues to carry out his duties practically and with great emphasis on efficiency. As much as possible, he tries to educate those under him the ropes to running events smoothly and efficiently. Whilst, Farah Nadia is a visionary, setting the direction for PBMUKS, Omar’s role is to support her and also aid the President and the JK in making their dreams for PBMUKS a reality. But Omar is not without a dream of his own. He believes that Malay undergraduates play a very special role within the society. These undergraduates will be the future leaders of the community and they need to be moulded and trained. PBMUKS will provide the training and opportunities for these young leaders. Such is Omar’s personal vision for PBMUKS.

Omar is not without a pet peeve. Ultimately, he hates people who expects others to aid them without them helping themselves. Due to that, Omar critiques heavily on the Malay community in Singapore. In his free time, Omar pursues his passion for the outdoors, namely rock climbing and urban biking. Upon graduation, he hopes to join the Singapore Police Force as a Senior Officer. He feels that a desk bound job is not for him, and he wants a career that requires him to be mentally and physically fit, and at the same time, contributing to the well-being of society.
